3. How Often Will Appointments Be?
Your child may need to visit the orthodontist frequently, so it’s a good idea to ask how regular the appointments will need to be, how much the fees will be for each appointment and whether or not your child will need to miss school for the appointments.
4. Will There Be Any Side Effects of Treatment?
Ask your orthodontist if there will be any side effects of treatment. Braces typically cause soreness when they are tightened. Ask your orthodontist if your child will need to undergo other treatments, and what side effects those treatments may have.
5. Will Treatment Be Comprehensive?
Your child may need more than one round of braces. Ask your orthodontist about what he or she thinks about your child’s progress, and if there is anything you can do to help speed up the process.
